Treatment Specialist Team Lead - South Africa (includes weekend hours!)
Our team is growing and we're hiring an experienced Registered Dietitian to join us as a Treatment Specialist Team Lead. This is a hybrid leadership role — you'll split your time roughly 50/50 between leading a team of Treatment Specialists and conducting patient consultations yourself.
This is a predominantly weekend-based role. Our ideal working pattern is compressed hours across Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday — though we have a small degree of flexibility, so please reach out to discuss if you'd like to explore alternatives. Please only apply if weekend working works for you long-term.
What you'll do
Team leadership (~50%)
Lead, support, and develop a team of up to 7 Treatment Specialists, acting as their first point of escalation for clinical and operational queries.
Monitor team performance and quality, providing regular feedback and coaching to maintain high clinical and patient experience standards.
Support onboarding of new Treatment Specialists and contribute to the ongoing development of training materials and processes.
Work closely with the wider clinical, patient experience (PX), and people teams to surface insights from the frontline and help shape how the TS role evolves.
Contribute to scheduling, shift coverage planning, and day-to-day team operations across the weekend.
Patient consultations (~50%)
Conduct BMI verification consultations for patients applying for GLP-1 weight management treatment via video call. Provide thorough patient education on the risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of treatment. Where appropriate, screen for disordered eating and conduct eating disorder assessments as part of the consultation process.
There may be scope to support our live chat ticket queue as a secondary responsibility.
The details
Initially a 12-month fixed-term contractor position.
Fully remote within South Africa. You'll need your own laptop and a quiet, private space from which to conduct video consultations.
Compressed hours across Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, within an 8am–8pm UK window. We have a small degree of flexibility on working pattern — please reach out to discuss.
Applicants must be based in South Africa with the right to work in SA, and registered with the HPCSA.
What we need from you
Registered Dietitian registered with the HPCSA.
Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, ideally including patient assessment and education.
Some experience in a team lead, supervisory, or senior clinical role — you're comfortable supporting and developing others, not just doing the work yourself.
Available to commit to full time hours, which include weekends.
Comfortable conducting video consultations.
Familiarity with or willingness to develop knowledge of GLP-1 medications.
Strong written and verbal English skills — all patients are UK-based, so clear communication is essential.
Proactive, organised, and able to balance your own caseload with the needs of your team.
What's in it for you
A leadership opportunity within a fast-growing, clinically led weight loss programme.
Flexibility — compressed 4-day schedule, giving you extended time off mid-week.
Fully remote — work from home.
Competitive salary.
Meaningful work — direct impact on patient care and team quality.
Exposure to GLP-1 medicine — build specialist knowledge in one of the most rapidly developing areas of healthcare.
Collaborative team — work alongside clinicians and PX specialists in a supportive remote environment.

About Voy
Healthcare is broken. We’re fixing it — and we need your help.
Back in 2019, we launched MANUAL to tackle men's health (starting with hair loss and sexual health). A few years later, we launched Voy with a focus on weight loss. But our ambition has always been bigger. Healthcare too often treats conditions in isolation, not people as a whole, and we're on a mission to prove there's a better way.
In 2025, we evolved from MANUAL into Voy, a brand built for the long game: supporting people through every stage of life, not just a single diagnosis. Today, we support over 1 million members across the UK, Germany and Brazil, delivering personalised care across weight loss, menopause, hair loss and TRT (with more categories on the way).
Ready to join us and change how healthcare feels for millions of people?
